June Walker Wilson BFA
These trees are at the side of a trail in Pippy Park. A trail which at one time I walked often. It is one of the less popular trails as it’s on the steep hillside up from Long Pond which brings you out on to Mount Scio Road. It is good exercise climbing that slope.
This spot is located near the top at the Mount Scio end of the path. The painting shows the beginning of fall just as the trees are losing their leaves and the ground foliage is turning colour. I found this combination, together with the curve of the tree trunks, to be especially appealing.
Inspiration is everywhere.
